F.A.Q.
Q. Does it really hold 70 pounds in drywall? A. Yes it does. These are specialty contractor quality anchors that have a "pull out" strength of 70 psi in 3/8 inch drywall. Most houses today are constructed with 1/2 inch drywall. I have had my 10' 6" and 9' 4" long boards (60 lbs. total weight) on the Double hanger for two years with out any problems. Q. Will those anchors work in lathe and mortar? A. No. Lathe and mortar construction of houses dates back prior to the late 1940's before gypsum (drywall) became a popular building material. For lathe and mortar walls I recommend putting it into the studs (screws included) which are typically spaced 16 inches on center. Or if you cannot find the studs I recommend you use a 3"inch wing nut (not included - available at local hardware store) and then I would not hang up more than 40 lbs. if you install it into only the lathe and mortar. Q. Why is your system better? A. My system holds more weight than 95% of the other surfboard hangers out there. The specialty hardware that comes with it. As well as...
Q. I have an old Yater board that has a 10" fin that is glassed into the board - I want to show it with the top of the board out. How do I do this with your system? A. The K-RACK was just recently developed. It not only holds a kayak, but it will also hold your surfboard with the deck out. These are made to order because I need the size of your fin or beam of your kayak measurement for a tight fit. There is a 50 lb. maximum weight limit. Or you can do one of these simple solutions for the original Hawaiian Gun Rack® if you are handy with tools. All you have to do is create 2 to 4 inches of space between the "gun rack" and the wall depending on the length of fin. For more detailed info please email me. NOTE: this method requires anchoring everything to the wood studs. Q. Hey I was wonderin, I have a couple of longboard (skateboards), can I use these racks to hold them as well?, thanks for yer time man. A. Sure can. I've designed them to hold just about any Xtreme board built today. You can buy the double version or the NEW MINI-GUN 20 and hang the two skateboards together horizontally or what's cool - is you can get creative with the single version and hang one skateboard per rack on the vertical with the bottom of the skateboard resting on the padding. The upper wheels will rest on the wall and keep them in place. Q.Just wondering if it is possible to hang a longboard from the ceiling using four hangers??? Is there enough curve to craddle the board? A. Yes. In fact you can make a ceiling of boards by attaching the four racks to the exposed joists and securing a rope to one of the racks and making a c by wraping around two of the outer most racks and securing the end of the rope to the last rack. Email me and I'll send you instructions with pics - if you can't find the rope in your area I can get it for you.

BARGAINS
From time to time I will offer bargains on some of the pieces that I make because they don't always come out perfect. Sometimes the wood has imperfections: knots, dings, scratches, etc. - that show up in the wrong places. Sometime the tools grab a little to much material leaving sanding blotches or teeth marks. Or sometimes the holes don't line up exactly or the racks are not symetrical enough. Either way these pieces don't meet my level of expectation and go to "my friends" bin. If you might be interested email me as to your wood type interest and I will send pics and pricing for your particular interest. Mahalo

Mahalo" Phil "The board is mounted
and looks great. Of course, this gives my husband one more reason to
buy another board. But, he has promised me that I can choose the deck
color." Betsy "The rack is wonderful. I bought it for my husband for Father's day. He hung the rack above the big screen TV so he could mount his 1974 Lightening Bolt "green tongue" board that was made by Gary Lopez. The rack is holding many precious memories for him. Thanks for a great looking & wonderfully made treasure holder." Evelyn "Thank you so much for replying so quickly. I am so excited yo see your surf racks! I looked for a very long time at the local stores here and on the Internet and yours are so perfect for my home interior! I won a custom made surfboard by a local shaper at the St. Jude Luau and Silent Auction and I had it made with outside red stripes and white on the inside. I spent my early life on Lewers Street on Oahu and it reminds me of the old school boards we used to ride. I am going to display it as you walk in my front door. I will take a picture and e-mail it to you. Thank you so very much." SANDY "I will be hanging an 8'6", Brewer, balsa, swallow tail gun and may be ordering more racks for some boards in the near future. I was stoked to find your product, they were the first racks I have seen that didn't distract my eye from the board". Lance "Morning! I found your site and hangers thru a YAHOO search, after looking at Wave Riding Vehicles and Ron Jon's sites, thinking they might have something we could use. Kris and I both thought the artistic nature of your design would improve the overall outcome of hanging our boards... in the living room and our bedroom. Board art! Thanks for the quick response. We are looking forward to getting the boards out of the corner and on our walls. I'll send photos. Thanks again," Kris & Mike "I found you in Google. I was looking for car racks but when I saw the wall racks I had to have them. It's for a Kechele 7'2" tri-fin". David "i found you on the internet, on a google search for racks. we have an 8'0" long board and a 6'6" short board, both south coast boards (a local shop here in san diego). i picked the blonde because we have bamboo floors that are a honey color and the brunette looked a little too red to go with the rest of our little place. can't wait to see the racks in person! your workmanship and design are beautiful on your web page. thanks!" jennifer "I found your racks via an internet search. I am using it for wall-mounting a decorative 6'8" surfboard. Yours were the best looking ones I found. I already received the rack and am 100% satisfied with your product, as well as the fast delivery time. If I need another in the future, I will definately do business with you in the future! Thank You!" -Lisa "Thanks for the quick ship. I wil be hanging my wakeboard during the winter and my snowboard during the summer.
